How to Remove a Shared Disk/LUN from a Cluster
Use this procedure to remove a shared device, such as a shared disk or a LUN, from a cluster.
-
Assume the root role or a role that provides
solaris.cluster.read and solaris.cluster.modify
authorization on a node in the cluster.
-
Ensure the device is not being used by applications on the cluster.
-
Ensure the device is not in storage resources or disk groups or zpools or
/etc/vfstab on any node of the cluster.
-
Ensure device is not added to a zone cluster.
# clzc show
# clzc configure
-
After ensuring device is no longer used anywhere on the cluster, remove the device.
-
Remove all DID references to the device.
You must complete this step on all nodes in the cluster.
# cldevice clear
