firmware-check Command Syntax
The firmware-check command uses the following syntax:
firmware-check options
When a command fails, it returns one of the failure codes listed in firmware-check Error Codes.
The options listed in the following table apply to all CLI Tools commands, including firmware-check.

Displays help information.

Displays the tool version.
|

firmware-check supports the following command-specific options.
|

–a
|
–-age
|
Displays the installed metadata expiration date. The metadata determines if the installed firmware meets the latest minimum required version provided by Oracle. firmware-check checks if the metadata is out of date. When it is out of date, a message appears prompting you to download an update. This option cannot be combined with other options.

–q
|
–-quiet
|
Run in quiet mode. No text is output to stdout or stderr.
|
–r
|
–-readfw
|
Displays the current host sysfw/ILOM version. This option cannot be combined with other options.
|
–s
|
–-syslog
|
Reports errors to syslog.
