Providing Host Credentials to the Service Processor

Accessing a service processor over a remote network connection requires that you either provide credentials manually or set up a host credentials cache using ilomconfig.

Note -  As of Oracle Hardware Management Pack 2.3.3, you can no longer create a local host credential cache for ilomconfig. Refer to the Release Notes for more information.
  • For information on setting credentials using ilomconfig, see Set Up a Credential Cache on the Host.

  • To provide credentials manually, provide the Oracle ILOM login credentials when running a command over a network. For example:

    # fwupdate update sp_bios -x metadata.xml --remote-username=root --remote-hostname=169.254.182.76

    # ubiosconfig list status -U root -H 169.254.182.76
