Manually Check System Firmware

The installation default is to check the system firmware during boot. You can also confirm system firmware is at the minimum version required by Oracle by manually running the command.

  • To check the system firmware to ensure it meets minimum requirements, type:

    firmware-check

This command checks the current firmware version against installed metadata. If the firmware needs to be updated, an error displays to stdout. If not, nothing is displayed.
