If you choose to run multiple sites from a single Commerce Cloud instance, you should be aware that some content and configuration is shared among the sites and some is not. The following list describes what is shared by all of the sites in your Commerce Cloud instance:

Features and settings not included in this list can be configured on a per site basis. For example, catalogs, price groups, shipping methods, page layouts, promotions, email templates, and so on can be configured on a per site basis. For site-specific information on these features, refer to their documentation in the Using Oracle Commerce Cloud and Extending Oracle Commerce Cloud guides.

Shopping carts are always site-specific, meaning each site has its own separate shopping cart. When a shopper views his cart, he sees only items he has added from the current site. Each shopping cart is maintained so that, if a shopper switches between sites, his cart is saved for the next time he visits the site. Order history is also site-specific, so when a shopper views his order history, he is looking at orders he submitted on the current site only.
