Use ATG Knowledge to create a knowledgebase of content. This content can be structured, which are Knowledge Solutions, or unstructured content, such as PDF, HTML or TXT files.

ATG Knowledge uses ATG Content Administration to deploy content. ATG Knowledge uses a versioned repository that contains versioned content, search routing information and Internal User information. ATG Knowledge requires its own ATG Search server to index its content. In addition to the Knowledge repository, ATG Knowledge also uses a Shared Data repository that runs Ticketing and External User information.

ATG Search works in tandem with ATG Knowledge to provide robust search functionality, including linguistic processing to interpret query meaning and concepts based on syntax and vocabulary. You must install and configure an ATG Search module with its own database for each ATG Service module that you install.

You use ATG Service Administration and ATG Content Administration to design a customized experience for your website users and deploy changes.
