Required Databases and Users

ATG requires three different database user accounts for database configuration. Create the following accounts before configuring the database.

svcagent

Versioned repository tables that are used by ATG Knowledge

svcadmin

Unversioned repository tables that are used by ATG Self Service

svcsearch

Repository tables that are used by ATG Search.

Databases can be configured with the tables on separate machines, separate table spaces or partitions, or in other configurations.
