Before installing ATG Service, you must first install and set up the following:
Java JDK 1.5. Set the Java PATH and JAVA_HOME environment variables
A supported application server, such as JBoss or Bea WebLogic. Consult the ATG Installation and Configuration Guide for your application server
A supported database, such as DB2 or Oracle
The ATG 2007.3 platform, including the Adaptive Scenario Engine and Content Administration, Advisor, Web Publishing Agent and ACI (if using data warehousing for reports). Refer to the ATG Content Administration Programming Guide
ATG Search (installed on another server). Refer to the ATG Search Installation and Configuration Guidefor information about how to download and ATG Search
Root or Admin access to the installation directories
