To edit a saved search test:

  1. Choose Search Testing from the Show menu.

Note: You do not have to be working in a project to edit a search test.

  2. In the Navigation pane, locate the search test you want to edit and click the name of the test. For instructions, see Using the Navigation Pane.

The test opens in the Details pane. The Test Environment field shows the environment where the search test will run. This value is based on your current context, which might have changed since you last saved the test.

  3. To change the Test Environment, click Select and specify an environment in the dialog, as follows:

    • Select the environment that contains the products and SKUs you want to test. The options depend on the Search Testing environments set up by the administrator.

    • Select whether you want to test undeployed search configurations and facets from the current project. This option appears only if you are working in a project.

Caution: You cannot test undeployed changes to categories, products, SKUs, or price lists. These assets must be in the search index to be included in the test. See Search Testing Environment.

Note: If there is only one test environment and you are not working in a project, the Select button does not appear.

  4. Edit the search criteria and output options as necessary. See Specifying the Search Criteria to Test and Test Output Types.

  5. Click Search.

  6. (Optional) To save your changes to the search criteria and output options, click Save.
