Storage Capacity for X5-2L and E6-2L Exadata Storage Servers

The number and capacity of the drives installed in the Exadata Storage Servers vary, depending on the type of drives that are installed:

  • X5-2L Exadata Storage Server:

    • 8 x 1.6 TB Extreme Flash drives

    • 12 x 8 TB High Capacity drives

  • X6-2L Exadata Storage Server:

    • 8 x 3.2 TB Extreme Flash drives

    • 12 x 8 TB High Capacity drives

In addition, the total capacity that you have available depends on the level of redundancy that you want to set for the ASM disk groups (normal redundancy or high redundancy).

The following tables provide capacity information for the two types of Exadata Storage Servers.
