Selecting a Price Item or Hierarchy Entity

Procedure

To select a price item or hierarchy entity:

  1. Do either of the following:
    If you want to...Then...
    Select a price item or hierarchy entity from the Deal Information screen
    1. Search for the deal in the Search Deal zone of the Deal Dashboard screen.

    2. In the Search Results section, click the Broadcast (The Broadcast Icon) icon corresponding to the deal for which you want to select the price item or hierarchy entity.

      The Deal Versions zone appears.

    3. In the Deal Versions zone, click the deal version in the Deal Version Information column for which you want to select the price item or hierarchy entity.

      The Deal Information screen appears.

    4. Ensure that the customer hierarchy is expanded in the Simulation Details zone.

    5. Click the Edit (The Edit Icon) icon in the Price Item Selection column corresponding to the main person of the customer hierarchy.

    1. Ensure that the customer hierarchy is expanded in the Simulation Details zone.

    2. Click the Edit (The Edit Icon) icon in the Pricing and Commitments column corresponding to the person or account for which you want to select the price item or hierarchy entity.

      The Pricing and Commitments screen appears.

    3. Click the Select Price Item Group button available in the header area of the Pricing and Commitments screen.

    1. Ensure that the customer hierarchy is expanded in the Simulation Details zone.

    2. Click the Edit (The Edit Icon) icon in the Price List Assignment column corresponding to the person or account for whose price list you want to select the price item or hierarchy entity.

      The Price List Assignment screen appears.

    3. In the Proposed Price Lists zone, click the link in the Price List Information column corresponding to price list whose price item or hierarchy entity you want to select.

      Note: You can also search for a price list that you want to assign to the person or account in the Assign Price List zone of the Price List Assignment screen and then select the required price item or hierarchy entity.
    4. Click the Save and Select Price Item Group button.

    The Select Price Item Group screen appears. It contains the following sections:
    • Filters - Used to filter the price assignment in the price item hierarchy which you want to consider while simulating the deal. It contains the following fields:

      Field Name Field Description
      Search Used to search for a particular price item, root level hierarchy entity, or non-root level hierarchy entity in the customer hierarchy.
      Assignment Level Used to search for price items in the price item hierarchy whose price assignment is defined at a particular level. The valid values are:
      • Account Agreed - Used to indicate whether the price item pricing is agreed for the account.

      • Account Inherited Price List - Used to indicate whether the price item pricing is inherited from the parent price list hierarchy defined for the price list which is assigned to the account.

      • Account Price List - Used to indicate whether the price item pricing is defined in the price list which is assigned to the account.

      • Bundle Pricing - Used to indicate whether the price item pricing is defined for the bundle which is available for the retail banking.

      • Customer Agreed - Used to indicate whether the price item pricing is agreed for the customer in the customer hierarchy.

      • Customer Inherited Price List - Used to indicate whether the price item pricing is inherited from the parent price list hierarchy defined for the price list which is assigned to the customer.

      • Customer Price List - Used to indicate whether the price item pricing is defined in the price list which is assigned to the customer.

      • Default Price List - Used to indicate whether the price item pricing defined in the price list is available in the default price list.

      • Global Price List - Used to indicate whether the price item pricing defined in the price list is available in the global price list.

      • Market Product Pricing - Used to indicate whether the price item pricing is defined for the market product which is available for the retail banking.

      • Offer Pricing - Used to indicate whether the price item pricing is defined for the offer which is available for the retail banking.

      • Parent Customer Agreed - Used to indicate whether the price item pricing is agreed for the parent customer in the customer hierarchy.

      • Parent Customer Inherited Price List - Used to indicate whether the price item pricing is inherited from the parent price list hierarchy defined for the price list which is assigned to the parent customer.

      • Parent Customer Price List - Used to indicate whether the price item pricing is defined in the price list which is assigned to the parent customer.

      • Price List - Used to indicate whether the price item pricing is defined in the price list.

      • Product Pricing - Used to indicate whether the price item pricing defined in the price list is available for the product pricing.

    • Price Item Group - Displays the price item hierarchy. It contains the following columns:

      Column Name Column Description
      Price Item Hierarchy Displays the price items, root level hierarchy entities, and non-root level hierarchy entities in the price item hierarchy which you can select for simulating the deal.
      Note:

      A check box appears corresponding to the price items and the hierarchy entities which you can select to include the respective price assignments for deal simulation.

      The hierarchy entities and price items are sorted in the price item hierarchy based on their respective sort sequence. If two or more hierarchy entities and price items have the same sort sequence, then the system sorts them in the ascending alphabetical order of the information string. Also, if the sort sequence is not defined for the hierarchy entities and price items, then the system sorts them in the ascending alphabetical order of the information string.

      Similarly, the system sorts the hierarchy entities and price items in the price item hierarchy when the deal information is extracted in the Excel or PDF format for internal or external use.

      Parameter Displays the comma separated parameters using which the pricing of the price item is determined.
      Note: All price assignments of a price item are sorted in the alphabetical order of the pricing information in the Parameter column.
      Assignment Level Displays the level at which the price assignment is defined for the price item. The valid values are:
      • Account Agreed - Indicates whether the price item pricing is agreed for the account.

      • Account Inherited Price List - Indicates whether the price item pricing is inherited from the parent price list hierarchy defined for the price list which is assigned to the account.

      • Account Price List - Indicates whether the price item pricing is defined in the price list which is assigned to the account.

      • Bundle Pricing - Indicates whether the price item pricing is defined for the bundle which is available for the retail banking.

      • Customer Agreed - Indicates whether the price item pricing is agreed for the customer in the customer hierarchy.

      • Customer Inherited Price List - Indicates whether the price item pricing is inherited from the parent price list hierarchy defined for the price list which is assigned to the customer.

      • Customer Price List - Indicates whether the price item pricing is defined in the price list which is assigned to the customer.

      • Default Price List - Indicates whether the price item pricing defined in the price list is available in the default price list.

      • Global Price List - Indicates whether the price item pricing defined in the price list is available in the global price list.

      • Market Product Pricing - Indicates whether the price item pricing is defined for the market product which is available for the retail banking.

      • Offer Pricing - Indicates whether the price item pricing is defined for the offer which is available for the retail banking.

      • Parent Customer Agreed - Indicates whether the price item pricing is agreed for the parent customer in the customer hierarchy.

      • Parent Customer Inherited Price List - Indicates whether the price item pricing is inherited from the parent price list hierarchy defined for the price list which is assigned to the parent customer.

      • Parent Customer Price List - Indicates whether the price item pricing is defined in the price list which is assigned to the parent customer.

      • Price List - Indicates whether the price item pricing is defined in the price list.

      • Product Pricing - Indicates whether the price item pricing defined in the price list is available for the product pricing.

      Note: The width of the columns in the Price Item Selection section of the Select Price Item Group screen can now be resized and adjusted based on the requirement.

      In addition, the Price Item Selection section contains the following buttons:

      Button Name Button Description
      Expand All On clicking the Expand All button, all nodes in the price item hierarchy are expanded at once.
      Collapse All On clicking the Collapse All button, all nodes in the price item hierarchy are collapsed at once.
      Select All On clicking the Select All button, all the price items and the hierarchy entities in the price item hierarchy are selected i.e. the check box corresponding to each price item and hierarchy entity in the price item hierarchy is selected.
      De-Select All On clicking the De-Select All button, all the price items and the hierarchy entities in the price item hierarchy are de-selected i.e. the check box corresponding to each price item and hierarchy entity in the price item hierarchy is unchecked.
      Save On clicking the Save button, the price item selection made in the price item hierarchy is saved.
      Save & View Pricing & Commitment On clicking the Save & View Pricing & Commitment button, the price item selection made in the price item hierarchy is saved and the Pricing and Commitments screen appears.
      Back Used to access the previous screen.
  2. Ensure that the price item hierarchy is expanded in the Price Item Group section.
    Note:

    The system, by default, selects the price items and hierarchy entities in the Select Price Item Group screen when the following conditions are met:

    • Deal is created for an existing customer or account

    • Default commitments are not defined in the respective deal type

    However, if the deal is created for a proposed customer or if the default commitments are defined in the respective deal type, the system does not select the price items and hierarchy entities, by default, in the Select Price Item Group screen. You have to manually select the required price items and hierarchy entities in the Select Price Item Group screen. Only then, the system considers the pricing and commitments of the selected price items in the deal.

  3. Select the check box corresponding to the price item or the hierarchy entity that you want to consider while simulating the deal.
    Note: If you select a hierarchy entity, then all its corresponding non-root level hierarchy entities and price items are selected for the deal simulation.
  4. Click Save.
    The price item or hierarchy entity is selected.
