Airflow Requirements
In order to cool the system properly, ensure that adequate airflow travels through
the racks.
| Caution -
Do not restrict the movement of cool air from the air conditioner to the rack,
or the movement of hot air out of the rear of the rack.

Observe these requirements:

Allow a minimum clearance of 48.5 inches (1232 mm) at the front of the rack, and 36 inches (914 mm) at the rear of the rack for ventilation. There is no airflow requirement for the left and right sides, or the top of the rack.

If the rack is not completely filled with components, cover the empty
sections with filler panels.
