Product Description

The Oracle ZFS Storage ZS5-ES consists of two enterprise-class, one rack unit (RU) controllers. Each controller has the following components:

• Two Intel 2.3 GHz, 18-core, 145W processors.

• 384 GB of memory using 24 16-GB DIMMs (12 DIMMs per CPU).

• Four 10 Gb BASE-T Ethernet (RJ-45) ports with integrated link/speed LEDs.

• Two 2.5” (SFF) SAS-3 system hard disk drives (HDDs).

• Two read-optimized cache solid state drives (SSDs). If read cache devices are installed in disk shelves, filler panels are installed.

• Four PCIe Gen3 slots containing an InfiniBand HCA card, a SAS-3 4-port (4x4) HBA for disk shelf connectivity, a cluster interface card, and an internal SAS-3 HBA for boot drive connectivity.

• Two hot-pluggable, redundant power supplies.

• An on-board Oracle Integrated Lights Out Manager (Oracle ILOM 3.2.x) service processor (SP).

Oracle ZFS Storage ZS5-ES supports one of the following configurations:

• One Oracle Storage Drive Enclosure DE3-24C connected to a SAS-3 HBA

• Two Oracle Storage Drive Enclosures DE3-24P connected to a SAS-3 HBA
