Install the Internal HBA SAS Cable Assembly

1. Carefully guide SAS cables along the side of the chassis.
2. Connect the SAS cables to the internal HBA card [2].
3. Install the SAS cables into the disk backplane [1].
4. Install the PCIe riser with the internal HBA card into PCIe slot 3.

   See Install the PCIe Riser Into PCIe Slots 3 and 4.

5. Install all of the controller fan modules.

   See Install a Fan Module.

6. Return the controller to operation.
   1. Install the controller top cover.

      See Install the Controller Top Cover.

   2. Close the controller fan door.
   3. Return the controller to the normal rack position.

      See Returning the Controller to Operation.

   4. Reconnect the data cables to the controller and reconnect the power cords to the controller power supplies.

      See Reconnect Data Cables and Power Cords.

   5. Power on the controller.

      See Power On the Controller.

      Verify that the Power/OK status indicator is steady on.
