Downloading and Updating System Firmware and Software
Firmware and software for the server are updated periodically. The updates are made
available as a software release. You can obtain the latest software release from My Oracle
Support, or from Oracle System Assistant.
This section describes the components of software releases and provides instructions for
downloading and installing them.

Review the components of a software release and the tools that can be
used to install them.

If you intend to install updates across the network using Oracle
System Assistant, prepare Oracle System Assistant for updates.

|
If you do not intend to install updates using Oracle System Assistant,
obtain updates from My Oracle Support.

|
Install updates using Oracle System Assistant, Oracle ILOM, or Oracle
Hardware Management Pack.
