You can delete targeters that you no longer need. Doing so removes only the targeter’s name, description, and targeting rules from the ATG Control Center; it does not affect any content or profile information referenced within the targeting rules.
Important: Deleting a content targeter that is currently being used by a Web page will result in errors when users visit that page. Before deleting any targeter, make sure that it is no longer in use on your Web site.
To delete a content targeter:
If the targeter you want to delete is open, navigate to the targeter’s window by using the arrow button on the toolbar, and then close it by selecting File > Close.
Select the content targeter from the Content Targeters window. (To select a targeter without opening it, click any column other than the Name column.)
Select File > Delete Content Targeter.
When the confirmation dialog box appears, click Yes to confirm the deletion.
