Use the Wait element to define the length of time that you want the system to wait for a specified event or before performing a given action.

Note 1: If you include a Registers event element in a scenario, it is highly recommended that you insert a Wait element directly after it and set the amount of time to wait to 5 minutes. This extra wait period ensures that the system has enough time to process the registration before it proceeds to any other elements in the scenario. See Creating a Scenario: Basic Steps for an example.

Note 2: It is possible to set up repeated timer events that, for example, send an e-mail every week or record an audit trail event every day. (You do this by adding a Wait element to your scenario and turning on the Toggle Multiple Occurrences feature for the Wait element. For more information, see Repeating an Element.) However, if you choose a repetition interval that is very short, for example every minute or every two minutes, be aware that the action after the Wait element may not recur exactly at the expected time. This behavior occurs because the Scenarios module takes a certain amount of time to deliver the internal messages it uses to fire elements. For this reason, it is not recommended that you set up repeated timer events with a very short interval if you require them to occur precisely as scheduled.
