The second example shows how a Web site tracks the price range of items that a visitor views and then updates the profile with that information:

The scenario watches for a visitor to view any product from the product catalog. Each item in the catalog has a Price Range property, for example CHEAP. Each visitor’s profile has a property called Price Preference, which is a positive or negative number. The scenario contains a fork with Condition elements that tell the system to monitor the Price Range property of the items that visitor displays and adjust his or her Price Preference property accordingly.

The site can then use the Price Preference property to personalize the content that each visitor sees in the future. For example, it could offer promotions specifically tailored to anyone whose Price Preference property is more than 5.
