Product Financial Summary
The Product Financial Summary section displays the financial summary at the product level. It contains the following columns:
Column Name | Column Description |

Product | Indicates the product whose financial summary is displayed. |
Division | Indicates the division to which the product belongs. |
Approval Status | Indicates the current approval status of the financial summary at the product level. |
Revenue | Displays the revenue generated from the proposed, original,
standard, and recommended price item pricing and commitments at the
product level. Note:
The revenue generated from the standard pricing appears only when the Standard Pricing Comparison field is set to Yes in the deal type using which the deal is created in the system. The revenue generated from the recommended pricing appears only when there is a recommended pricing defined for the price item. |
Cost | Displays the proposed, original, standard, and recommended
cost calculated at the product level. Note:
The cost calculated from the standard pricing appears only when the Standard Pricing Comparison field is set to Yes in the deal type using which the deal is created in the system. The cost calculated from the recommended pricing appears only when there is a recommended pricing defined for the price item. The cost includes the total price item cost and the adhoc cost. |
Profit | Displays the profit generated from the proposed, original,
standard, and recommended price item pricing and commitments at the
product level. It is calculated using the following formula: Profit = Revenue - Cost Note:
The profit generated from the standard pricing appears only when the Standard Pricing Comparison field is set to Yes in the deal type using which the deal is created in the system. The profit generated from the recommended pricing appears only when there is a recommended pricing defined for the price item. |
Profitability (%) | Displays the profit percentage calculated for the proposed,
original, standard, and recommended price item pricing and commitments
at the product level. It is calculated using the following formula: Profitability % = ( Revenue - Cost)*100/ Revenue Note:
The profitability calculated for the standard pricing appears only when the Standard Pricing Comparison field is set to Yes in the deal type using which the deal is created in the system. The profitability calculated for the recommended pricing appears only when there is a recommended pricing defined for the price item. |
Revenue Variation (%) | Displays the difference of revenue variation percentage calculated
for the proposed, original, standard, and recommended price item pricing
and commitments at the product level. It is calculated using the following
formula: Revenue Variation (%) = (Proposed Revenue - Original Revenue)*100/ Original Revenue Note:
The revenue variation calculated for the standard pricing appears only when the Standard Pricing Comparison field is set to Yes in the deal type using which the deal is created in the system. The revenue variation calculated for the recommended pricing appears only when there is a recommended pricing defined for the price item. The Green Arrow () or the Red Arrow () corresponding to the revenue variation (%) indicates whether there is an increase or decrease in the revenue variation (%) respectively. |
Profit Variation (%) | Displays the difference of profit variation percentage calculated
from the proposed, original, standard, and recommended price item
pricing and commitments at the product level. It is calculated using
the following formula: Profit Variation (%) = (Proposed Profit - Original Profit)*100/ Original Profit Note:
The profit variation calculated for the standard pricing appears only when the Standard Pricing Comparison field is set to Yes in the deal type using which the deal is created in the system. It is calculated using the following formula: Standard Pricing Profit Variation (%) = (Standard Profit - Original Profit)*100/ Original Profit The profit variation calculated for the recommended pricing appears only when there is a recommended pricing defined for the price item. The Green Arrow () or the Red Arrow () corresponding to the profit variation (%) indicates whether there is an increase or decrease in the profit variation (%) respectively. |
The system highlights the cells of the product financial summary in green color if the proposed statistic is within the range of the deal creator or the approver. Whereas, the system highlights the cells of the product financial summary in red color if the proposed statistic is not within the range of the deal creator or the approver.
The Product Financial Summary sections appears in the Deal Information zone when the Product Level Approval Required field is set to Yes in the Deal Type using which the deal is created in the system.
The data in the Product Financial Summary sections appears when the deal has reached the Simulated status.
By default, the product financial summary is displayed in the deal currency. You can view the product financial summary in the division currency by clicking the toggle switch towards Division Currency available in the header area of this section.
