Any set of indexing configuration choices you make can be saved as an Auto-Indexing Rule.
Warning: Make sure you schedule automatic indexing builds so that they can never start at the same time. Any given project can only build one index at a time, so regardless of schedule, one index will be created or updated first, then the second. Depending on how long indexing takes, this could mean long delays in updating your index. It can also cause unpredictable system behavior if the indexing jobs collide.
To create an Auto-Indexing Rule:
Make your indexing configuration selections as described in Building Indexes.
Click Save as Auto-Indexing Rule. The page switches to the Automatic Indexing tab.
Select Enable or Disable.
Provide an Indexing Task Name (required).
Add a descriptive comment (optional).
Create a schedule for the rule using the calendar, or select Index by Request if your Search installation is integrated with other ATG applications.
Click Create Rule.
