ATG Search includes default term weight sets, which are loaded during indexing along with the project’s main language. These defaults are included in your project, although they do not appear in the list of customizations. Any custom weight sets are loaded afterwards, and override the defaults.
To override the defaults, you can either create a custom term weight set that includes the term you want to override, or import the default term weights and edit them directly in the Workbench; the latter approach is strongly recommended over creating term weights from scratch. The default term weight sets are located at <SearchDir>/SearchEngine/language/language_name/termWeights.xml.
Note that after you customize the term weight set, you must select it on the Customization page in order to load it for a project.
