Query rules can be created in an external XML file and then imported. The rules are imported as a new rule set. Use this feature to import query rules created in previous versions of Search, or when moving your Search installation.
To import query rule sets:
In the Administration Options menu, go to Search Workbench > Customizations > Query Rules.
Click Import Query Rule Sets.
Specify the location of the rule set to import.
Select whether or not to import macros as part of the rule set import. Imported macros overwrite any existing macros.
Provide a name and description for the new rule set.
Click Import.
