The keyword search field is implemented through an instance of the SearchBox cartridge, which is placed on the page using the /atg/endeca/assembler/droplet/InvokeAssembler servlet bean. This servlet bean, which enables cartridges to be included on ATG-driven pages, is invoked by the <crs:pageContainer> tag, as discussed in the Configuration and Extensions for Existing Endeca Cartridges chapter.
