Connect the RJ-45 Ethernet Cables

1. Identify the prerequisite and subsequent installation tasks that you must perform in conjunction with this task.

   See Installation Task Overview.

2. Orient the RJ-45 connector to where it will connect to the switch.

   The tab is up for the upper row of receptacles, and the tab is down for the lower row of receptacles.

   
   
3. Insert the connector into the receptacle until it clicks, securing it in place.
4. Lay the cable into a slot on the CMB.
5. Repeat Step 2 through Step 4 for each cable to be connected.
6. Consider your next task.
   • Connect the PrizmMT cables if necessary.

   • Connect the SFP+ cables if necessary.

   • Secure the cables to the CMB.
