Connect the Power Cords

1. Identify the prerequisite and subsequent installation tasks that you must perform in conjunction with this task.

   See Installation Task Overview.

2. Ensure that the circuit breakers for the facility power receptacle or power distribution device are switched off.
3. Plug the power cords into the receptacles at the front of the switch chassis.
   
4. Plug each power cord into the facility power receptacle or power distribution device.

   ---

   Note -  To provide redundancy, connect each power cord to a separate power source. The switch can operate with only one power source, but there is no redundancy in that case.

5. Consider your next steps.
   • If you have DHCP-assigned IP addresses, install the air duct assembly.

     See Install the Air Duct Assembly.

   • If you have a full-time SER MGT connection, install the air duct assembly.

     See Install the Air Duct Assembly.

   • If your SER MGT connection is only temporary, power on the switch.

     See Power On the Switch.
