Name

fjcmi - Fujitsu CMI Driver

Synopsis

/dev/cmictl
/dev/cmiadm

Description

Fujitsu Coherent Memory Interface (CMI) driver is a multi-threaded and loadable device driver.

Fujitsu CMI driver provides functions to control inter-node shared memory enabled by Fujitsu Global Coherent Shared Memory (GCSM) Extension. Two or more physical nodes can share data through inter-node shared memory, which provides fast inter-node communication.

The following functions are supported by Fujitsu CMI driver.

  • Allocate and deallocate shared memory

  • Map and unmap shared memory to user processes

  • Export shared memory to remote nodes, and import shared memory from home nodes

  • Generate error events when data access error occurs on shared memory

  • Generate error events when home or remote nodes are disconnected from inter-node shared memory network
