Oracle^® MiniCluster S7-2 Installation Guide

(If Needed) Download and Install the MiniCluster Core Software

This software provides the MiniCluster management software, Solaris OS, and SRU repository files. The core software is installed on MiniCluster at the factory, however it might not be the latest version. If you see a message telling you that your core software is out of date when you run the installmc --deploy command during the initial installation, download and install the core software.

Depending on your network capabilities and the size of the zip files, the download can take a significant amount of time.

1. On a system other than MiniCluster, go to https://support.oracle.com, and sign into MOS.
2. Search for 2153282.1.

   This MOS document is the MiniCluster S7-2: Software Download Center and provides access to MiniCluster downloads.

3. In Doc ID 2153282.1, click the Latest Release link.

   You are directed to the latest downloads.

4. Open and review the Release Notes.

   Click the MiniCluster Release Notes link under MiniCluster Core Software section.

   IMPORTANT – Information in the Release Notes supersedes instructions in this guide. Refer to the MiniCluster Release Notes for your version of the software.

5. Begin the download process for the MiniCluster Core Software.

   To begin the download process, click the patch number in the MiniCluster Core Software section, then click the download button.

6. Unzip the downloaded files.
7. Follow the installation instructions in the Release Notes.
