Configure the Oracle Engineered System Hardware Manager Password

Oracle Engineered Systems Hardware Manager is a BUI-based system-level hardware management utility intended for use by Oracle Service personnel, or under their direction. The utility has an admin account. Ensure that you assign a unique password to the admin account.

1. Log in to the Global Zone of node1 and assume the root role.

   For instructions, refer to Log in to the Global or Kernel Zone in Oracle MiniCluster S7-2 Administration Guide.

2. Run the following command.

   # /opt/oracle-eshm/bin/oeshm-pwreset

3. When prompted, enter the admin password twice.

   The password is now configured.
