Install the Battery

1. Insert the new battery in the main module, with the positive side (+) facing out.
   
2. Install the main module back into the server.

   See Install the Main Module.

   If the SP is configured to synchronize with a network time server using the Network Time Protocol, the Oracle ILOM clock will be reset as soon as the server is powered on and connected to the network. Otherwise, proceed to the next step.

3. If the SP is not configured to use NTP, use the Oracle ILOM clock command to set the day and time.

   The following example sets the date to June 17, 2013.

   -> set /SP/clock datetime=061716192010
   
   -> show /SP/clock
   
   /SP/clock
   	Targets:
   
   	Properties:
           datetime = Wed JUN 17 16:19:56 2013
           timezone = GMT (GMT)
           usentpserver = disabled
   	Commands:
           cd
           set
           show

4. Verify that the new battery is functioning properly.
