Determine if the Service Processor Card Is Faulty

When a fault occurs with the service processor card, the following LEDs are lit:

  • System Service Required LEDs on the front panel and rear I/O module

  • Server SP LED on the main module and rear I/O module

  1. Determine if the System Service Required LED is lit on the front panel or the rear I/O module.

    See Interpreting LEDs.

  2. Check the SP LED on the main module or the rear I/O module.

    See Front Panel Controls and LEDs or Rear Panel Controls and LEDs. The SP LED will be lit amber if the service processor card needs to be replaced.

  3. Remove the faulty service processor card.
