Important: Before using the solution data import tool, you should familiarize your self with the Repository Loader (RL) tool in the ATG platform. See the Repository Loader chapter in the ATG Repository Guide for complete information.
The import tool uses a workflow definition to specify how it imports the solution data. An XML configuration file specifies how attributes are mapped from the original format to the ATG solution format.
Note: Only solution data can be imported. Importing metadata is not supported.
When the import is finished, solutions are not yet checked in or deployed. You must use the BCC to complete the workflow for imported solutions, check them in to the versioned repository, and deploy them as appropriate.
