Before migrating the data, configure an ATG data source that points to the eServer database. Do this step after completing the ATG Knowledge installation.
To help you with this step, the Service.migration module provides a preconfigured data source for a hypothetical database on an MS-SQL server instance on localhost. You can reconfigure this data source and use it for your migration.
The necessary configuration files are in this directory:
<ATG2007.3dir>/Service2007.3/Service/migration/config/atg/dynamo/service/jdbc
You need to edit the following two files to include the login information for your current eServer database:
eServerFakeXADataSource.propertieseServerJTDataSource.properties
You can use a data source file with a different name, if desired. Create the new file and specify its name in the <ATG2007.3dir>/Service2007.3/Service/migration/config/atg/svc/migration/ configuration file. By default, the value of
EserverMigrationService.propertiesEserverMigrationService.datasource is /atg/dynamo/service/jdbc/eServerJTDataSource.
