To control if searches are performed using topic ids from an imported XML file when importing topics, use the Topic IDs radio button option in the SearchAdmin Workbench on the Topic Import page. Selecting Preserve Imported Topic IDs will keep the topic IDs from the imported data. Selecting the Generating New IDs selection will create new IDs. The default is to generate new topics with the topic IDs provided in the topic.xml file.
