Order and profile search support incremental, manual, and bulk indexing. Incremental indexing occurs in real time, and as such, requires the tables and database index to be created.
Incremental Indexing – Enabled by default, it is configured by default to check for modifications to orders and profiles every twenty seconds. By default, Commerce Service Centerperforms incremental indexing only on components that are located in the
LiveIndexmodule.Manual Indexing – Started from the
/atg/userprofiling/textsearch/or the
ProfileOutputConfig/atg/commerce/textsearch/OrderOutputConfigcomponent in the Dynamo Server Admin. Manual indexes can be started by providing criteria for the specific manual index request.Bulk Indexing – Started from the
/atg/userprofiling/textsearch/or the
ProfileOutputConfig/atg/commerce/textsearch/OrderOutputConfigcomponent in the Dynamo Server Admin. During a bulk indexing, incremental indexing will be stopped and will resume scanning for updates after the bulk indexing session is finished.
Note: You cannot search for incomplete orders. Incomplete orders, or orders that have yet to be submitted, are not indexed, and as such, are not contained within the search index.
