You can delete a rule from the Rules screen. To delete a rule, click on the action cog beside the rule you wish to delete and select Delete Rule from the command list.
A rule can only be deleted when it is not published or queued to be published on any sites. If the rule you wish to delete is associated with any sites you must queue the rule for removal from the site(s) and then publish the site(s). Once the rule has been removed from all sites, you can delete the rule.
When you delete a rule, the counter on the Trash button increases to show how many rules can be restored from the trash folder. Rules can be restored up to seven days after they were deleted. For more information on restoring a rule, please refer to the Restore a Rule section of this document.
