This action is used to display a KnowledgeSyndication widget to visitors. The KnowledgeSyndication widget displays a search field, a list of answers from the knowledge base, and a link to additional results on the customer portal pages.
You must select which fields you wish to configure for this action by selecting them from the Add Field dropdown. You may also remove any previously selected fields by clicking the red X beside the field you wish to remove.
The following configuration options are available for this action:
Category: This is used to specify one or more categories to associate with the report displayed in the widget.
Context Sections: This is used to specify the context tags that are used to determine search results. You can enter more than one tag here by typing a comma-separated list of tags.
Display Search Corrections: This is used to specify if the widget should spelling suggestions if the search term appears to be misspelled.
Display Answer Description: This is used to specify whether the widget displays answer descriptions in the list of returned answers. The description includes the beginning of the answer summary.
Widget Div ID: This is a required field and is used to specify the div element that defines where you want the widget to appear on the page.
Note: If the div element specified here does not exist on the page, Engagement Engine creates a div with the ID given here and adds it to the end of the DOM.
Search Against External Document Index: This is used to instruct Engagement Engine to search against the RightNow external document index.
Widget ID: This is used to specify the widget that should be displayed to the visitor. Clicking the Edit button displays a new window that you can use to add or delete a widget ID from the list of available widgets as required.
Label Correction: This is used to specify the text displayed if a search correction is displayed.
Recommended Documents Label: This is used to specify the text displayed if the widget displays a link to any recommended documents.
More Results Label: This is used to specify the text displayed if the number of results returned exceeds the number specified in the Number of Answers field.
No Results Label: This is used to specify the text displayed if the search returns no results.
Related Searches Label: This is used to specify the text displayed if the Display Suggested Searches check box is checked for this widget.
Search Button label: This is used to specify the text displayed on the Search button used by this widget.
Display Navigation Link: This is used to specify whether to display the More Results link within the report if the number of answers returned is greater than the number specified in the Number of Answers field.
Number of Answers: This is used to specify the number of answers displayed in the report.
Product: This is used to specify one or more products to associate with the report displayed in the widget.
Payload Size: This is used to specify the number of characters for each tag identified in the Context Sections field that is sent to the server for evaluation to determine page content and influence context sensitivity of the returned answers.
Search Query: This is used to specify the search term so that the answers returned by the KnowledgeSyndication widget are related to that keyword.
Note: This field is overwritten by any values entered in the Context Sections field for the widget.
Display Recommended Documents: This is used to specify whether the widget should display links to any recommended documents.
Display Suggested Searches: This is used to specify whether the widget should display a list of related searches.
Display Search Box: This is used to specify whether the widget should display the keyword search box so visitors can enter search terms.
Target: This is used to specify where linked documents and additional search results open. The valid values for this field are:
_blank: Opens the link in a new window.
_self: Opens the link in the current window.
_parent: Opens the link in the parent frameset.
_top: Opens the link in the full window.
Wrap Size: This is used to specify length of descriptions displayed in the report generated by the widget.
