This action takes the value from an identified page element and uses it to populate the custom data field.
The following configuration options are available for this action:
Custom Data Field: This is used to specify which custom data field should be populated with the value taken from the specified page element.
RightNow Custom Data Field: If you are a RightNow customer, this field is used to specify which of the RightNow Custom Data fields should be populated with the value taken from the specified page element. If you select Custom Data Field from the dropdown list a further configuration option is displayed:
RightNow Custom Data Field ID: This is used to specify the ID for the custom data field that should be populated with the value taken from the specified page element.
Element Property: This is used to specify the method used to identify the page element from which to get the value to populate the custom data field. You can identify the page element using either the element name or the element ID.
Element Property Value: This is used to specify the element name or the element ID of the element to use to populate the custom data field.
Note: If the specified page element cannot be found, no value is assigned to the custom data field.
Note: It is possible that multiple instances of a form field with the same name can exist on a web page. In this case, if an action is configured to populate a custom data field with a value obtained from an element with a name which is used more than once on the web page, the action will use the first matched element name.
