Verify That a Fault Has Been Cleared

  1. After a faulted component is replaced and power is restored to the server or component, check the server LEDs.

    Verify that the OK and AC Present LEDs are lit, and that the Fault LED and front and rear Service Required LEDs are not lit.

  2. Log in to Oracle ILOM.

    See Log In to Oracle ILOM (Service).

  3. Verify that the server is operating normally.

    At the Oracle ILOM prompt, type:

    -> start SP/faultmgmt/shell
    Are you sure you want to start the faultmgmt shell (y/n)? y
    
    faultmgmtsp> fmadm faulty
  4. Determine your next step.
    • If a fault was detected using the fmadm faulty command, see Clear a Fault Manually.

    • If no fault was detected, the component was installed successfully.
