Servicing PCIe Cards
Each CMIOU in the server has three slots, each of which can hold one PCIe x16 hot-plug card
carrier. Each of these carriers contains a single low-profile PCIe card. For the location of
the PCIe cards, see Rear Indicator Panel Controls and LEDs.
| Caution -
To remove a PCIe card that is assigned to an I/O domain, first remove the device from
the I/O domain. For more information about making hardware changes to an I/O domain,
refer to the Oracle VM for SPARC documentation at
http://www.oracle.com/goto/vm-sparc/docs.
|
Note -
Always update PCIe card firmware to the latest supported version. Refer to the PCIe
card documentation for the firmware update instructions.
