Transactional snippets are self-contained fragments of JSP code that can be included as statement fields in solutions, allowing users to perform certain activities such as changing passwords or viewing order history. Knowledge Manager comes preconfigured with several transactional snippets.

Default transactional snippets are part of the Service.common.extensions, Service.Agent.extensions and Service.ATG SelfService.extensions modules. Snippets are stored as repository items in the ServiceRepository; their configuration files are installed in the appropriate module directories when you install Knowledge Manager.

Snippets contain parameters whose values are set by the Web site user or customer service agent when they interact with the transactional snippet in the context of a solution.
