This section describes how to import existing solution, user/group, and topic data from Primus eServer into Knowledge Manager. You should be familiar with eXtensible Markup Language (XML), with the ATG Nucleus architecture, and with Search to perform the tasks explained in this section.
Note: The migration process is designed for migrating from eServer 5.x or 6.x to Knowledge Manager 10.1. Prerequisites
Before you run the migration program, you must do the following steps, discussed in detail in this section:
Make sure you have installed the ATG platform, Knowledge Manager, Search, and (optionally) Self Service
Configure a new ATG data source that connects to your existing eServer database. See Configuring a Data Source that Points to the eServer Database
Use the ATG migration configuration files to set up mappings for your eServer solutions, users, groups, and topics. See the following sections:
