Access the Oracle Fabric OS

The switch supports different management interfaces for configuring features in its IB fabric and Ethernet network. The Oracle Fabric OS controls the configuration and management of features in the IB fabric.

  1. Log in to the switch through the Oracle ILOM CLI.

    See Access Oracle ILOM From the CLI.

  2. At the command prompt, type to access the Oracle Fabric OS console:
    start /HOST/console
    Are you sure you want to start /HOST/console (y/n)? y
    
    Serial console started.  To stop, type ESC (
    
    Oracle Linux Server release 6.7
    Kernel 4.1.12-32.el6uek.x86_64 on an x86_64
    
    switchname login

    At this point, you can log in as either admin or root.

  3. Choose your method of access:
    • Log in as admin
      host-name login: admin
      Password: 
                               Welcome to OFOS Controller
      Copyright (c) 2012, 2016, Oracle and/or its affiliates.  All rights reserved.
      

      where password is the default password for admin.

    • Log in as root, then change user to the admin user.
      host-name login: root
      Password: changeme
      
      [root@host-name ~]# su admin
      
                               Welcome to OFOS Controller
      Copyright (c) 2012, 2016, Oracle and/or its affiliates.  All rights reserved.
      
                   Enter "help" for information on available commands.
      admin@switchname[OFOS]

    When the command prompt displays [OFOS], you have logged in to the Oracle Fabric Operating System on the switch.

    Through the Oracle Fabric OS controller, you can begin configuration and management of IB fabric features. For detailed information, refer to the Oracle Fabric OS 1.0.2 Administration Guide.
