FIPS provides encryption and security to certain data transmitted and received by FIPS-compliant devices. Some environments (for example, government installations) require FIPS. By default, FIPS is disabled, but you can enable it by using this task.
-> set /SP/services/fips/ state=enabled Set 'state' to 'enabled' The configuration change will be applied the next time the SP is reset. ->
-> reset /SP/ Set 'state' to 'enabled' The configuration change will be applied the next time the SP is reset. ->
The state and status should both be enabled. If the status of FIPS is disabled; enabled at next boot then you must reset the SP.
