The Oracle InfiniBand Switch IS2-46 is a complete access switching and I/O platform that consolidates and virtualizes the switching infrastructure for servers deployed in high-performance enterprise clouds. In documentation, this switch is also called the leaf switch.
The switch features up to 38 4x IB ports supporting EDR speeds. Additionally, 4 12x IB ports, and 2 4x IB/40GbE combination ports provide both network and gateway capabilities. Eight 10GbE ports and 24 1GBASE-T ports offer Ethernet overlay networks, with the last two Ethernet ports supporting network management. A separate, dedicated, and optimized on-board SP and SCP manage chassis functionality, Ethernet traffic, and IB fabric respectively, through user-friendly CLIs and GUIs.
