Querying Available Parameters for a Command

  1. If you are not sure what commands or parameters are available for a particular type of CLI command or its syntax, type a space after the help command (?) or list command (ls).

    Here are a few query examples.

    Command
    Query
    Show
    # show ?
    Show User
    # show user ?
    Role Configuration
    config:# role ?
    Role Create
    config:# role create ?
  2. A list of available parameters and their descriptions displays.

    Note -  To automatically complete a command after typing part of the full command, see Automatically Completing a Command.
