Remove the Battery

1. Prepare the server for installing the battery. See:
   • Power Off the Server
   • Disconnect Cables From the Server
   • Remove the Server From the Rack
   • Perform Antistatic Measures
   • Remove the Top Cover
   • Remove the PCI Mezzanine Assembly
2. Gently depress the release tab and pull the battery out of the battery housing (Replacing the Battery).

3. Place the battery on an antistatic mat.
