Determine if the Battery Is Faulty

You must determine if the battery is faulty before you replace it.

  1. Access the Oracle ILOM CLI.

    See Accessing the SP.

  2. Determine if the battery has become problematic.
    -> show /System/Open_Problems
    Open Problems (1)

  3. Determine if the battery has faulted.
    -> show /SYS/MB/V_VBAT alarm_status
     /SYS/MB/V_VBAT
     	Properties:
     		alarm_status = state_asserted
    ->

    If the alarm status is anything other than cleared, replace the battery. Start at Remove the Air Duct Assembly.

  4. If you are unable to determine if the battery is faulty, seek further information.
