Replace a Faulty DIMM

Use this procedure to replace a faulty DIMM.

When servicing the components in this section, unplug the AC power cords and use ESD protection.

1. Identify the MR card containing the faulty DIMM.

   See Locate a Failed Memory Riser Card, DIMM, or CPU.

2. Remove the MR card.

3. Identify the faulty DIMM.

4. Remove the faulty DIMM.

5. Install the replacement DIMM.

6. Install the MR card.

7. Prepare the server for operation.
