Replace a Faulty CPU (FRU)

Disconnect the server from the AC power and protect components from ESD by wearing an antistatic wrist strap.

1. Remove the heatsink and CPU.

   See Remove a Heatsink and CPU (FRU).

2. Install the CPU and the heatsink.

3. Prepare the server for operation.
