SMOD Components

The following illustration shows an SMOD (system module) and associated components, including an Oracle Storage 12 Gb SAS PCIe RAID HBA, internal: 16 port and 2 GB memory card installed below the SMOD, one SAS cable that connects the HBA card to the server storage backplane, and an ESM extension cable that connects the energy storage module (ESM) to the HBA card.
